Natural Resources Forest Science This
major can prepare you for a career in forest resources. In addition to
chemistry, biology, computer science, statistics, communications, and
business
management, youll take courses in measurements, tree identification,
forest economics, forest policy, forest ecology, forest protection and management,
and silviculture. Professional foresters manage millions of acres nationwide
for federal, state, and municipal agencies. They also work in wood products
industries,
for private landowners, or as consultants.
Wildlife and Fisheries
Science This major is designed to help you develop knowledge, skills, and professional ethics in the conservation and management of fish and wildlife and their environments. You may choose an option in either Wildlife or Fisheries. The curriculum provides a broad-based science background that incorporates natural resource management principles. Graduates of this program can find careers in natural resource management agencies, consulting firms, and nonprofit organizations, or pursue further study in graduate school.
