Veterinary & Biomedical Sciences

** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

The A. L. Bortree Award.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are applying for admission to an accredited school of veterinary medicine and who have exhibited outstanding scholarship and participation in University activities. Endowed in honor of Dr. A. L. Bortree.

**Howard W. Dunne Memorial Award.
This award shall be made to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have been admitted to or now attend an accredited school of veterinary medicine. Selection will be made on the basis of financial need, moral integrity, scholastic excellence, and professional promise. Endowed by the family of Howard W. Dunne.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Bosworth Grier Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to graduate students in Pathobiology who are in the doctoral program and who have passed the candidacy examination. A student may receive this scholarship only once during his or her graduate program. Endowed by Ruth Grier Robinson and John M. Robinson Jr. in memory of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Bosworth Grier.

Dr. Marvin A. Jaffe Memorial Award.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time and part-time senior students graduating from the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records and have been accepted to an accredited school of veterinary medicine. Endowed in memory of Dr. Marvin A. Jaffe.

Rosie and Stuart Kahan Scholarship in Pre-Veterinary Sciences in Memory of Lawrence Kahan.
Full -time undergraduate student of sophomore or higher standing enrolled in the Animal Bioscience major in the Department of Veterinary Sciences, College of Agricultural Sciences, at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academics success, who intend to pursue careers in veterinary medicine, and who have a demonstrated financial need.

**C. Channa and Usharani Reddy Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. First preference shall be given to students majoring in Animal BioScience in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Eugene and Carol Schurman 4-H Scholarship in The College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all Pennsylvania resident undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who have been active in Pennsylvania 4-H program in high school. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring or planning to major in Animal Sciences. In the event no students are identified, who meet the eligibility criteria in Animal Sciences, consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all students in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding success and who have been active in the Pennsylvania 4-H program in high school.

** Shigley Memorial Pre-Veterinary Scholarship.
Eligibility is open to all undergraduate students in the Animal Bioscience major who intend to pursue careers in veterinary medicine and who have exhibited excellent scholarship records, manifest desirable traits of character, and have documented financial need. Endowed in memory of Dr. and Mrs. James F. Shigley and Dr. Robert F. Shigley.

**H. Fred Troutt Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Science at the Pennsylvania State University who are residents of Pennsylvania who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who have demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be for undergraduates interested in applying to Vet school. Second preference shall be for undergraduates interested in applying to Graduate school.

J. Richard Wain Scholarship in Veterinary Science.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time and part-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Veterinary Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.
