Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who have declared Agricultural and Biological Engineering or Agricultural Systems Management as their major, have at least fifth semester standing, and have demonstrated academic achievement. University Scholars who are majoring in Agricultural and Biological Engineering or Agricultural Systems Management and have at least third semester standing are also eligible. Established by faculty, alumni, and friends of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
American Farmer Farm Tire Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Agricultural and Biological Engineering who are juniors or seniors and have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of academic success. Must have record of participation in extracurricular activities. Preference shall be given to students interested in the engineering design, analysis, and evaluation of agricultural machinery. Each applicant needs to submit a typed essay (300–500 words) discussing career interests and plans in the area of agricultural machinery. Supported annually by Specialty Tires of America, Inc.
** Howard D. Bartlett Scholarship in Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time juniors and seniors who are Pennsylvania residents and who are currently enrolled in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering major or successor academic major. Students must have documented financial need, have achieved academic records that show promise of academic success, and have a record of activity in student organizations in the profession. A priority for student selection shall be a demonstrated or professed interest in working in the area of natural resources conservation. Endowed by Howard D. Bartlett and his family and friends.
David C. Beppler Award in Agricultural Systems Management.
Consideration
for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled
in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering who are
majoring in Agricultural Systems Management who exhibit high academic
achievement. If there are no eligible recipients majoring in Agricultural
Systems Management, then consideration for this award shall be given
to all students enrolled in the Department of Agricultural and Biological
Engineering.
** Buckwheat Scholarship.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students
enrolled or planning to enroll in Agricultural and Biological Engineering,
Agricultural Systems Management, or any major in the Department of Crop
and Soil Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania
State University who have achieved academic success or manifest promise
of professional success in their chosen fields of endeavor, and who have
documented financial need.
** James B. Stere, Ford-New Holland Ag Engineering Scholarship.
This scholarship is open to students with a declared major in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. The award will be made on the basis of scholastic record, leadership activities, and documented financial need. Supported annually by New Holland.
** Burton S. Horne Memorial Scholarship.
Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Agricultural and Biological Engineering or Agricultural Systems Management who have at least fifth semester standing. They must have demonstrated academic achievement and documented financial need. Endowed by family and friends of Burton S. Horne.
William L. and James F. Kjelgaard Scholarship in Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering on the basis of their achievement and academic ability. Endowed by William L. Kjelgaard in honor of William L. and James F. Kjelgaard.
Kim L. Masser Memorial Scholarship for the College Of Agricultural Sciences in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students with a minimum 2.3 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) who are enrolled in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering in the College of Agricultural Sciences (Agricultural and Biological Engineering or Agricultural Systems Management major) at The Pennsylvania State University. To the extent permitted by law, students shall be United States citizens. First preference shall be given to graduates from the Tri-Valley Area High School in Schuylkill County, PA. Second preference shall be given to graduates from Line Mountain High School in Herndon, PA or the Upper Dauphin High School in Elizabethville, PA. Third preference shall be given to a Schuylkill County resident. Fourth preference shall be given to a graduate from a Pennsylvania high school.
Frank W. and Jeanette S. Peikert Scholarship in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and Agricultural Systems Management.
Students eligible for this award must be U.S. citizens who are full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Agricultural and Biological Engineering or Agricultural Systems Management and who have at least fifth-semester standing. They must have superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success and have demonstrated their leadership qualities through active participation in the Penn State Branch of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers or the Penn State Agricultural Systems Management Club. George Shute Scholarship in Agricultural and Biological Engineering
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.
Harold V. and Velma B. Walton Doctoral Student Endowment in Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in an approved doctoral program within the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement or show promise of outstanding academic success.
