Agricultural & Biological Engineering - Minor

This minor provides students with an opportunity to apply engineering principles to agricultural production and processing systems and to the management of our natural resources. Courses may be selected by students to gain a better understanding of soil conservation and water quality, food process engineering, structures and their environments, power and machinery, or microbiological engineering.

A grade of C or better is required for all courses in the minor.

Scheduling Recommendation by Semester Standing given like (Sem: 1-2).

Requirements for the minor: 18-19 credits

  2. Biological Systems: A B E 468(4)*, BIOE 401(3), CH E 409(3), CH E 438(3), CHEM 034(3), MICRB 201(3)
  3. Natural Resource Systems: A B E 467(4)*, A S M 457(3), C E 361(3), C E 370(3), C E 371(3), C E 471(3)

Procedures for Enrollment
Students may apply for admission to the Agricultural and Biological Engineering minor by submitting an Application for Admission to a Minor form in room 224 Agricultural Engineering Building. Approval of the student’s major program adviser is also required. For additional information, contact the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering 814-865-2633.
