The
minutes from our March meeting were approved and are ready
for posting.
-
Positive
comments have been received regarding the spring newsletter.
Mary Jo Depp-Nestlerode has submitted an article for the
fall issue. Shirley wondered if it might be used for the
national newsletter as well. Karen will forward a copy
to Shirley for her review.

The
current balance is $9188.23.
-
Income
has been received for the mini-grant ($1000), JCEP Scholarship
($200 - PACAA & Family Living) and Extension Extended
($90).
-
Question
was asked by the recipient of the mini-grant regarding
the process for receiving reimbursement from the mini-grant.
She is to submit an invoice to Shirley indicating expenditures
and will then receive reimbursement.
Vice-President's
Report - Davis -
-
Dawn
Olson has agreed to serve as chair elect for the scholarship
committee. Other committees still have not reported chair
elects.

Some
committees have submitted goals for this year, but they
are basically the same as the ones they submitted last
year.
PA
JCEP Conference Call - This will take place later today.
The meeting will be held November 1 & 2 in State College.
The ESP meeting will occur the morning of November 1. More
information is needed for the committee to proceed with
plans.
Chapter
Merit Recognition Program Award - Jeff has submitted this
for the chapter. The chapter easily achieved the platinum
award.
The
Achievement in Chapter Membership application is due May
1. Cathy Bowen will submit this for the chapter.
National

Recruitment and Retention - Michelle Rodgers is submitting
an application

Professional
Development - Jeff will contact Amy Gregor to see if she
might be interested in applying for this committee

Resource
Development and Management - Jeff Myers is submitting
an application
National
ESP Auction - Jeff communicated with Michelle Rodgers yesterday.
The National ESP Auction website is current. It was recommended
the need for auction items might be mentioned during the
introductions at the Multicultural Communities Conferences
remaining.
Website
- Some of our pages need to be updated. Karen will work
with Peg on this. They are:
Extension
Reaching Out to Multicultural Communities: At Home and Abroad
- One session occurred April 5. No feedback has been received.
Karen has a conflict with the April 20 session for which
she was offering the introduction. She will contact Mary
Alice Gettings to secure a replacement.
The
deadline for chapter voting on national/regional recognition
nominations is June 1. We will need to have a conference
call or vote by e-mail once materials are received from
National. Jeff is checking into this.
Our
next board meeting will be via conference call on June 6,
2006 at 9:00 AM.
There
being no further business, President Jeff adjourned the
meeting.
