Congratulations to our national award recipients. They are:

• Bill Roberts, 2008 National Friend of Extension
• Peg Shuffstall, NE Region Visionary Leadership Award
• Mary Alice Gettings, Recipient of the 2008 Angus Professional Development Scholarship

In addition, the outstanding team recognition and diversity team for the northeast region will go to members of the Alpha Omicron chapter.

We have a lot to celebrate at the national meeting in Indianapolis. Don't forget, the deadline for early bird registration for Galaxy 3 is June 15. The motels are filling quickly so you will want to get your reservations made. ESP lodging is at the Hyatt. Go to the Galaxy Website for the program and to register. If you would like to volunteer to assist at Galaxy, contact Marjorie Moore at mreem@ufl.edu by August 15.

Also, plan to attend the 2008 Extension Annual Conference, October 28-30 at Seven Springs. The ESP annual meeting will take place on either Wednesday or Friday. Thanks to Beth Raney for representing us on the planning committee.

Future board meetings are June 3; August 12 and October 7. Let any board member know if you have issues that need to be brought before the board at these.
