Dr. Koide currently has a number of research interests including:

Soil carbon sequestration in mycotrophic (soy) and nonmycotrophic (canola) oilseed crops

The role of mycorrhizal fungi in sustainable dairy cropping systems

Carbon sequestration and reduced N leaching and N volatilization through the use of biochar in soil

Environmental factors and physiological traits that structure communities of fungi, including arbuscular mycorrhizal, ectomycorrhizal and decomposer fungi.
