AVAILABLE TO COUNTY PAID EXTENSION STAFF
There are many benefits that county-paid employees may have through their County or Extension Boards. New staff should discuss what benefits are available with their county extension director. Benefits will vary depending on the county and type of position.

In addition to availability of county benefits, there are privileges and services provided by Penn State University for county paid extension staff. Availability of these privileges and services should be discussed with the county extension director.

Access to Resources:
Extension faculty specialists -- access for subject matter support and some county
programs and trainings.
Penn State Library -- LIAS access from computer; must first complete "borrower's card registration form"; can request books and copies of journal articles, also dissertations. See PEN*LIAS Request Form User Guide.
Print Resources -- Publications to support programs
Employee Parking at PSU:
Eisenhower Parking Deck, Parking Office (University Safety). Need University I.D.
or letter from CED*. $3.00 each and can buy more than one at a time.
*CED can prepare a letter on University letterhead which indicates that county staff member is an employee in the Cooperative Extension office. This is sufficient to allow purchase of parking passes.
Computer Purchases: (reduced cost)
Microcomputer Order Center (MOC); same process as PSU employee. Use letter from CED
as for parking pass purchases to purchase computer equipment.
