Strategic Planning

The College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State, a world-wide center of excellence, continues to be a leader for change and a place for students, faculty and staff to be innovators for the future as part of our land-grant university in the 21st century.

Changes in industry and society needs are occurring at an increasing rate. These changes are local, national and global. Our planning focuses on addressing these changing needs in key areas such as the food, fiber, natural resource and energy systems of the Commonwealth and beyond.

The future excellence of the College of Agricultural Sciences is being determined today in the decisions that we make about where resources are invested and the directions we take in our research, resident education, and outreach programs. It is our goal to assert leadership and foster innovation through organizational improvement and change.
