FOOD INDUSTRY GROUP

The Organization
The Penn State Food Industry Group (PSFIG) is an Affiliate Program Group of the Penn State Alumni Association and the College of Agricultural Sciences. The purpose of this group is to unite Penn State Food Science alumni, faculty, students, and friends in a network that supports the Food Science Department's programs and activities.


Membership
Membership in PSFIG is open to anyone interested in the many facets of food science. Penn State
graduation is not necessary to hold membership. PSFIG has several distinct levels of membership available to meet your needs. Dues help finance PSFIG activities along with printing and mailing costs. They also provide funds to meet special needs of the Department of Food Science as identified by the department head.

Membership Brochure
A complete copy of the brochure is available. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the printable Membership brochure. Mail the completed brochure and dues payment to PSFIG, c/o Department of Food Science, The Pennsylvania State University, 202 Food Science Bldg., University Park, PA 16802.


Membership Levels
  • Food Catalyst ($25 annual dues). Receives: newsletter and PSFIG directory. Supports PSFIG activities and special needs of the department.
  • Food Booster ($50 annual dues). Receives Food Catalyst benefits and provides additional support to PSFIG activities and special needs of the department.
  • Food Centurion ($100 annual dues). Receives Food Catalyst benefits and provides further support to membership development and departmental projects.
  • Tailgater ($200 one-time payment). Lifetime membership for graduates during or before 1965 with Food Catalyst benefits.
  • Food Ambassador ($400 one-time payment). Lifetime membership for graduates after 1965 with Food Catalyst benefits.
