Responsible for receiving and pasteurization of raw milk.
Major
responsibilities include: - Receive
raw milk and test it for antibiotics.
- Inventory
milk and juices products and prepare production orders for packaged products.
- Pasteurize
all fluid milk for cartons and six gallon containers, as well as three different
juices for cartons.
- Prepare
and pasteurize mixes for cream cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and
ricotta cheese prior to transfer to the cultured products room.
- Prepare
and pasteurize mixes for ice cream, soft serve, sherbet, and frozen yogurt prior
to transfer to the ice cream room.
- Inventory
cleaning chemicals and containers for packaging.
- Assist
in workshops and classes for student training on pasteurizing equipment.
- Assist
in cultured products and cheese production.
